The committee kept the tradition going strong this year, with employees participating both virtually and in person.

A “lunch and learn” session kicked off the campaign with impact speakers, Jorge Fernandez, CEO of The Immigrant Centre, and Doug Pollard, Co-CEO of Pollard Banknote Limited. The speakers shared stories about the United Way and how their donor-supported agencies help the community get the support they need.
This year the committee surpassed their goal, raising a total of $215,000! To say we’re proud of our fundraising achievements is an understatement. Says Tessa McDonald, chair of the United Way campaign at CWB National Leasing, “I’m in awe of the dedication and generosity from employees and the United Way committee! Each year, we continue to make time for participating in this important cause and ensuring it’s successful – I’m proud that we’re able to carry on this tradition yearly.”
Our United Way campaign concluded on a high note with activities like the annual Sprint Burpee Challenge, a Rock Paper Scissors tournament, Chase the Ace, Bingo, Cookie Walk, a Silent Auction and everyone's favourite – the Live Auction!
We want to thank all our team and committee members for supporting the virtual fundraising campaign and our committee chairs for helping the United Way make a difference in our city.
